Sandeep Damre

About

Sandeep is a director/ photographer living in Ahmedabad. He has been working as Photographer/Film Maker since the last two decades. Working with top agencies and brands, directing TVC’s and documentary films across the globe, that combine his love of adventure, people, fashion, nature, wildlife.

His work has been featured in prominent newspapers and magazines like Times of India, Better Photography, leading Gujarati newspapers, Wildlife Newsletters and more. One of his Documentary Film won Silver Award among 143 countries, in Copenhagen, Germany for Climate Change film competition. Sandeep directed his film, “Circle of Light”, which premiered at Copenhagen, Germany conducted by UNFCCC. It’s on view on their website and YouTube. He has also received appreciation from Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy in many a competitions and exhibitions.

Born in 1972, grew up in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh and did graduation from MS University, Baroda, Faculty of Fine arts (Graphic Design).

For him photography is a transformative and creative tool, the perfect balance between communication and art. His mentors are Thomas Lutge, P M Dalwadi and is inspired by Man Ray photographer/Visual Artist.

What i do

Mentor

He enjoys mentoring, his mentees belong to different age groups and backgrounds. His experience includes being a visiting faculty with NID, CEPT, Acharya University, NIFT, UID, DPS Bopal to name a few. And has also conducted workshops in corporates, colleges and schools.

Travel

An avid traveller he has penchant for designing and organizing photography tours. He has designed tours for wildlife photography, bird photography, historical architecture and nature photography. These trips help one explore photography and experience adventure.

Passion

Riding his Royal Enfield is his passion. An avid traveller he has travelled to Leh, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Assam, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, Daman and Diu, Andhra, Telangana, Karnataka, Goa and Konkan Coast, clocking more than 1.5 Lakh kilometres on his motorcycle.
